Our firm was founded as Barbara A. Ley, PC in 1989. Over the years, the firm has grown and expanded. In 2019, two key employees were promoted to partner and the firm now practices as Ley, Gifford & Farr, PLLC.

Meet Our Partners
Barbara A. Ley, CPA
Barbara A. Ley founded the firm in 1989 and currently serves as the Managing Member. Barbara graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant, holding certificates in both Oklahoma and Texas, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Oklahoma Society of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs. Additionally, she has been awarded the AICPA credentials of Certified Information Technology Professional and Certified in Financial Forensics.
Barbara is a past Chair of the Oklahoma Accountancy Board, a past President of the OSCPA and was appointed to the AICPA Board of Examiners. She served in many capacities for the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, including service on the nominating committee and as Chair of the CPA Examination Review Board. She was inducted into the Oklahoma Accounting Hall of Fame, becoming its 51st member. In 2012, Barbara was inducted into the Oklahoma State University School of Accounting Hall of Fame and in 2021 received the NASBA National Distinguished Service Award.
Barbara and her husband, David, have two sons. When she has down time she loves to travel and spend time with family.
Janet Gifford, CPA
Janet began her career in accounting over thirty years ago. She has used her skills and depth of experience in public and private accounting to have a successful career as an employee with Barbara A. Ley, PC and now as a partner of Ley, Gifford & Farr, PLLC. She takes pride in getting to know her clients and providing each one with tailored accounting and tax services.

My goal is to assist the client in achieving the best financial outcomes now, and for their future generations.”
Janet holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Pittsburg State University. She is a member of the AICPA, OSCPA and has served on the OSCPA Tax Committee.
Janet and her husband, Kurt, have two sons, are active in their church and enjoy beach vacations with family.
Adam Farr, CPA
Adam Farr is a Certified Public Accountant with fourteen years of experience in public and private accounting. Adam started his accounting career at Barbara A. Ley, PC in early 2009, and rose to the level of Manager. In 2019, he became a Partner, and the firm became Ley, Gifford & Farr, PLLC.
His areas of expertise focus on complex taxation, forensic litigation services and other consulting services.
Adam is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree double majoring in Accounting and Finance. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.
In his spare time, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, and the occasional round of golf, when his schedule permits.
